Camp Lessons Hit Home

By The Aloha Team

Marina, an Aloha counselor and alumna, talks about how camp was just the push she needed to conquer a fear many of us share, adding that the expectation and repetition helped her become more confident. Repetition is a contributing factor to many adjustments at camp. The more you sing, the more lyrics you learn, the more you canoe, the better control you maintain over the boat, and the more you shoot, the more accurate of an archer you’ll be. Repetition and time give us the opportunity to adjust, to observe, to learn slowly and to succeed.
