FAQs

Who exactly is a referral?

A referral is defined as a child or adult who has never enrolled in an Aloha Foundation program before. This includes friends, cousins and extended family members of current families, campers and counselors.

Siblings of current campers, children of alumni, or individuals who have previously attended an Aloha Foundation camp or program and are now enrolling at Aloha, Hive, Lanakila, or Ohana are not considered referrals. At Ohana, a referral is someone who is booking and paying for their own lodging. A referral is not someone for whom you are paying.

Does my family need to be enrolled in 2027 in order to receive our credit?

Yes. In order to receive the tuition credit, your family must have an enrolled camper at any of our programs during 2027. You’re welcome to use this credit towards any of our residential camps, Horizons, Hulbert family camps, and Ohana Family Camp.

What if I refer someone who doesn’t end up enrolling?

Thanks for your referral! We understand that campers who are referred don’t always attend. We will be happy to keep your referral’s name on our list should they enroll in the future. In the event your referral enrolls and then withdraws before the start of camp after you’ve already received the tuition credit, the discount will be rescinded and a balance will be due on your account.

What if more than one of my referrals enrolls?

Thank you for spreading the word about camp! The referral credit is capped at $500 per family at Aloha, Hive, and Lanakila, and $250 for Ohana.

How do I refer a camper?

To make a referral, you can either reach out directly to your camp director or have the family you’re referring fill out this form. Please remind the family to mention that you referred them!
