Research Study with the Aloha Camps
Welcome to the Aloha Foundation Camps in Fairlee, Vermont!
Is your child interested in summer sleepaway camp but has never tried it? Our camps are offering scholarships to children currently in grades 5th-7th to come to our camps this summer for free.
Camp Scholarships are part of our ongoing research into how camp can improve the well-being of 5th-7th graders. All students and their parents who enter the lottery must agree to participate in 3 short paid surveys, even if they do not win a scholarship from the lottery. Surveys will be conducted by our research partners at Princeton University.
The Aloha Foundation has three sleepaway summer camps: Lanakila (boys’ camp for 5th-7th grade graduates), Hive (girls’ camp for 5th-6th grade graduates) and Aloha (girls’ camp for 7th grade graduates)
To qualify for this opportunity, families must:
- Have a child currently in 5th, 6th, or 7th grade who has never attended our camps before
- Be available to attend camp for 3-weeks this summer, from July 21st – August 12th 2026
- Consent to you and your child completing three surveys with our research partners at Princeton University
- Apply to enter the lottery by Sunday, March 29th (deadline extended!)
- Lottery results will be announced via email by the end of the day Friday, 4/3
