Clubbers & Bridgers

Clubbers and Bridgers arriving on June 19 or 22 have the same arrival options as camp staff. They can arrive by car or be picked up at one of these locations: Dartmouth Coach’s Lebanon bus station, Amtrak’s WRJ train station, or the Lebanon Airport. There is no fee for pickup at these locations.

If arriving by car, they should arrive between these times:

  • Friday, June 19 – after dinner
  • Monday, June 22 – between 9am-12pm

For departure on August 12, Clubbers and Bridgers have the same options available to campers (see departure by car, NYC bus, or local airport, bus, or train station below for more details and associated fees).

Arrival by Car

For arrival on June 26 or July 21, campers will be assigned a check-in time between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Sign up for your preferred arrival time slot in the Arrival Plans step of your camper’s online paperwork. You will receive an email with your camper’s assigned arrival time and check-in tent in mid-May. Upon arrival, you will be directed to your check-in tent.

What to Expect During Check-In:

  • Health Checks: A camp nurse will greet you to conduct a brief health check and collect any medications.
  • Meet Your Counselor! Your camper’s tent/cabin counselor will also be present to introduce themselves. We invite you to stay and chat for a few minutes, but we ask that you remain in the check-in area.
  • Luggage: Once unloaded, your camper’s belongings will be tagged. A camp truck will collect luggage throughout the day and deliver it to each camper’s tent/cabin.
  • Rental Packages: If your camper signed up for a uniform or trunk & bedding rental, the package will be waiting for them in their tent or cabin.
  • Quick Good-byes! We expect drop-off to take about 15 minutes. There will be porta-potties set up for families to use on their way out.
  • Camp Tours for New Families: New families (and those who have not seen their child’s camp before) are invited to attend a brief tour after dropping off their camper. Tours will include all the main buildings on campus but will not include the units where campers and counselors live. If interested in a tour, please sign up ahead of time in the Arrival Plans step of your camper’s online paperwork.
  • Gathering at the Small Barn: We hope you will join Vanessa Mendillo Riegler, Executive Director of the Aloha Foundation, and other camp parents after you drop off your camper for a relaxed gathering in the “small barn” at the north end of Lake Morey. Stop by after drop-off and stay for 10 minutes, an hour, or as long as your schedule permits! There will be postcards for writing the first message to your camper, as well as light refreshments to enjoy before you get back on the road. The small barn is about ¼ mile from Lanakila at 3183 Lake Morey Road, just around the corner from the Aloha Foundation Office.

Departure by Car

Departure on July 19: Most 1st session campers will depart by car after Visiting Weekend ends. Learn more about Visiting Weekend here. If you will not be joining us for Visiting Weekend, please email Karen Danforth to coordinate your camper’s departure plans.

Departure after 2-week sessions: Pickup at the end of the 2-week sessions is from 9:00 – 11:00 am. Most campers will depart by car. If you need help making travel arrangements, please email Karen Danforth.

Departure on August 12: Camp pick-up is from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. While we are not assigning families a specific departure time and check-out tent, we do want to know when to expect you. Please select your approximate pickup time in the Departure Plans step of your camper’s online paperwork.

Arrival or Departure by NYC Bus

The Aloha Foundation provides a chaperoned chartered bus service through Premier Coach bus company from New York City on Friday, June 26 and to New York City on Wednesday, August 12. This service is not available for 1st session departures or 2nd session arrivals. (Clubbers and Bridgers may sign up for the bus on August 12.)

  • Sign-up: Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign-up will be available on January 1. The one-way bus fee of $165 is waived for campers receiving financial aid.
  • Bus Stop Location: The bus stop is on the north side of W 62nd between Columbus and Amsterdam (Next to the Lincoln Center).
  • Luggage: The bus has limited space for luggage, and we ask that campers ship luggage to and from camp, bringing only carry-on luggage or small duffels on the bus. *The only exception is for international campers and campers receiving financial aid.
  • June 26  – Timing: We ask that everyone arrive by 8:30 am. The bus will begin loading at 8:30 am, and departure is planned for 9:00 am. Please plan accordingly and leave yourself plenty of time, as the bus cannot wait for late arrivals.
  • August 12 – Timing: Campers will arrive between 2:30-3:00 pm and you will be asked to sign out your camper and ensure they have all their belongings before leaving the bus stop. The camps and the bus company are not responsible for items left behind and cannot take unclaimed items with them.
  • Lunch & Electronics: For the trip to camp, children should pack a nut-free lunch, snacks, and drinks (no glass, please). On the return trip, the camps will provide packed lunches, snacks, and drinks. Campers may bring electronics for use on the bus. Devices (and accessories) should be labeled and will be collected by camp staff upon arrival at camp. Devices are stored in the camp offices, charged (if charging cords are sent), and handed back to campers upon departure from camp.

Pickup at Local Airport, Bus Station, or Train Station

On June 26 and July 21, campers may be picked up at the following locations. All travel plans must be approved in advance. Please email Karen Danforth before booking flights or purchasing bus tickets.

Dartmouth Coach Bus – Lebanon, NH: The Dartmouth Coach is a local bus company that provides multiple buses each day between Lebanon, NH and Boston’s South Station or Logan Airport.
